Please click on the "Discussion" tab above to see the prompts and to participate in the discussion. Please remember that although it is okay to disagree with someone's post, you must at all times respond in a manner which is respectful and which encourages continued discussion of the topic or issue.
In order for a true discussion to evolve, you must do three things:(1) Offer an original response to TWO of the prompts(2) Reply to THREE of your peers' posts(3) Comment on your peers' responses to your posts (in other words, supply rejoinders)
You will receive a grade for your participation in these discussions. Only those remarks posted by 9 PM on Tuesday, September 14th, will be counted towards your grade.
Also, it is very important that you type your name at the bottom of each of your posts. If you forget to include your name, you will risk forfeiting credit for your contributions!
I will use the following rubric to assess your work:

TIP:Type your comments in Microsoft Word first. Run spell-check and proofread carefully. Then copy and paste your work from Word to the discussion board. SAVE your work in Word just in case it gets accidentally deleted from the wikispace or if there are technical issues as you work. I hope we can all partake in and enjoy stimulating and mature conversation about this powerful novel!
Please upload your "Creating Context" annotations here. My hope is that these passages will be useful to you both in understanding the novel and in your responses to the discussion board.
